These are my new unsexed pair of A.felinus. I've been admiring them for a while and managed to find 2 unsexed siblings, born 31 July 2013. They're delicate little things and are currently in quarantine away from my other herps obviously.

I've set them up in an 18"x18"x18" exoterra with a canopy and an arboreal setup... 3 Basking spots of 25-27-28c cold/floor temp 21c... 70-80% humidity dropping during the day before misting in early evening.

They need reverse osmosis or spring water for misting and drinking, tap water causes renal failure. Supplement food rarely or the same problem occurs.

They seem to eat sparsely unlike my Chinese cave gecko and gargoyle gecko.. This could be due to their slim build (4.5g atm) and the fact they aren't the most active of species unless it's dark.

So here they are and their setup. I must add they will be separated in a month if they turn out to be 2 males... Waiting for them to show/mature.

Those are beautiful geckos. I've never heard of them before. Why are they called cat geckos? They have very long tails. Really cool looking animals.

What are you feeding them? What temperature and humidity level do they like? Are you thinking of switching to live plants?

A. felinus is a very prolific species once they get started. I hope you end up with 1.1 !

They're the only gecko with retractable claws.. Hence the name "cat gecko"... They also curl up like a cat and cover their head with their tails...

20-27c and 75-85% humidity... Yes I plan to switch to live plants at some point but just getting them settled and eating well before I think of changing anything..

So worried about doing something wrong with these guys. :-/

DUDE! BAD ***!

I've had a few pairs and trios over the years. Have to be one of my top 3 favourite gecko species out there. (Naultinus would be number 1 I think)

Let me know how they do! I will be VERY interested in hearing about any breeding going on. No one, and I mean no one in the past decade (that I know of) has produced them on a regular and consistent basis from the same pairs.

I have begun believing that they tend to pair off and any eggs produced have just been random.

The other theory I have is that they require far more room than we give them for such small geckos.

Before I make this any longer feel free to bother me about them and I can put you in touch with one or two others who have worked with them.

Have you worked with this species? Could you give me the links to the information you have read on this species. I haven't seen anything really new since I had them a few years ago.

The woman i got them off produces a few every year but obviously I don't know whether she's using the same pairs to do so...

Aaron I probably will bug you at some point as reliable info for these is few n far between. Shoot me a pm if you get chance :)
