What is a way I can dry mice after thawing them in warm water? I usually give the mouse to my snake wet, but if I give a wet mouse to my cat, he will get water everywhere...

I use a hairdryer :)
put the mouse in a zip lock bag then thaw it in warm water and it will be dry

Yeah this is my method as well.
pat it dry with a paper towel, but the tiny bit of water seems silly to worry about when you give a cat a mouse that if it eats will most likely get guts all over is it not?

I gave him his first mouse yesterday. It was a mouse that my snake rejected. Since it was with the snake for several hours it was dry. I just cut it open so the kitten could taste it. It didn't get any blood or liquid from the guts anywhere. He was playing with it for a while and it didnt get any mess anywhere.

I put him in a little cage. He ate the mouse fine, but if it had been wet he would have gotten water everywhere. I dont have a closed in crate.

Do mice thaw the same in a bag vs just putting the mouse in the water?

I switched to this method also. Now I don't have to worry about the mice getting all squishy or popping like I did when thawing in warm water.
I've also heard people using heat lamps after the rats have thawed out to heat them up, could be worth a try.

Its one of the best diets for a cat. Its a RAW diet. Once I get him used to it I'll feed him mice and canned cat food.

I just pat my rats dry with a paper towel. Works fine with me.
