I am in the process of trying to make it more "professional" looking. I built all but one enclosure but that was some time ago and its time for an upgrade. I just can't get to the rack set up yet. I love watching them too much.

I am the same way...I just can't bring myself to even think of using a rack system...I love to watch them move around :)

I run into the same thing...nearly everyone I know says they refuse to come to my home because they know I have snakes..I say good riddance if you can't have an open mind..I mean really...they are in locked cages and can't hurt you...maybe I should refuse to come to their houses because they have kids...kids are germ carriers, and kick, and bite, etc...haha! ;)

This is the exact cause I am looking to take on, the misunderstanding of snakes. I have a wide verity of sizes to try and educate people on these amazing animals, but like you said Sharlynn if they can't have an open mind then I cannot do anything with them.

I have actually had a few people who are afraid of them actually touch them thanks to my docile rainbow "Iris"..my younger daughter (18) hates snakes but has agreed if I hold her tarantula when she gets one, she will hold one of my snakes :)

I would however I redesigned my snake room and no longer have any of those setups. It was a dresser that had been gutted, polyurethane coated, sealed, and had tile. The whole thing maybe costs a little over $50 for materials seeing as I already had the dresser and the transformation took about a week and a half. Much of that time was spent letting the polyurethane dry as well as the aquarium silicone.

I really like the idea of it! So displayey lol. I agree with watching them... I can't wait till my BRB gets bigger (and I have the room/supplies/etc.) so I can put him in a more displayey enclosure :p Anyway I am really digging it :)
