This is Zekrom :). He's about 1 1/2 years old.
Today was the first time he wanted to let us handle him- walked right up my sons arm and out of the tank, then decided to check out his hair:p.
We're building him a new enclosure in the next few months that will be a bit bigger as he's quite active
Also, is 78F too warm for the cool side during the day? He doesn't spend much time at the cooler end but if need be I can swap out the 75 watt for a 50. It drops to mid- low 70s during the night.

He tried digging a burrow under the basking stack, but the substrates not quite deep enough. I'm planning to have at least 6 inches of substrate in the new one so he'll be able to make some proper burrows.

Hey, good looking gecko. I would replace that basking stack as soon as possible. Pine oil is not good for reptiles. Modern day lumber is kiln treated to some degree, but when i come home from work, my clothes all smell like pine, and i get sap on my hands etc. I do not think that is a great idea.

Thanks for that- I didn't even think about the wood when I put it in. I had it laying around and figured it would make a good basking platform. It doesn't smell like pine, but I'll take it out and put a few coats of sealant on it. Now to find something else in the meantime :).

I never really liked the look of them, but now that we have him I think he's amazing. It took about a month for him to settle in, but now he's all over the tank during the day and comes up to the glass to check us out.

Mine sleeps all day and runs around at dusk and dawn.

For the first few weeks he only came out late at night, but since I moved him into the livingroom he's out all the time- basking, climbing, and foraging.

Got the pine out of there and replaced it with another basking platform which he immediately began exploring and climbing over. It doesn't offer as many gradients, but will do for now :).

Mine is not afraid or anything. She walks right onto our hands out of her viv. She just seems to have a different shedule.

What a cute Leo! I've always pondered the thought of getting one, but for now I have to resist as all my snakes take up all the room I have!

He seems like a nice healthy size and quite the climber! Glad he's warming up to you guys, I bet your son was super excited that Zekrom climbed right onto him!

My son was estatic :). We had to re-home his two cats as we found out he's allergic, so we got him this little guy.

He LOVES to climb, so I think we'll be adding quite a few climbing oportunities in the new enclosure. I wanted to start building it this weekend, but the baby needed a new crib (the oldest broke it:wacky:) and they are NOT cheap. Hopefully within the next month I'll be able to pick up the material and start building.
We were going to build him a 4 x 2 x 4, but as he likes being in the livingroom we're going to have to build him a 3 x 2 x 3 as that's the only free space available in the room.

Does this look better than the pine stack? :D
It's hard to see, but there's a hide on the top, and one on the bottom.
I was planning to paint and re-seal it, but I guess that will have to wait.
