Substrate choices

I need some help deciding on an appropriate substrate option for my hognose Daisy.

She has been on aspen since I got her about a year ago. I recently moved and have been buying my supplies from a different pet shop, the type of aspen bedding I bought must have had more dust than usual because she started sneezing. My other two snakes were fine on this same aspen.
I switched her to paper towel and she stopped sneezing but since she can't burrow in it I am only using it temporarily.

Does anyone know of any other beddings that have very little dust that are good for burrowing? Or a particular brand of aspen that is less dusty?

My hoggie is on Eco Earth coconut fiber.. the sort that comes in the condensed brick and you soak it to expand. I let it dry out before putting it in his enclosure, and he loves it! (:

I personally am a fan of bio-active substrate. I think a blend of soil and sad with a little moss and leaf litter would be great for a snake that likes to burrow as much as a hognose.

I'm using ZooMed Aspen snake bedding, I'm new so I hope its Hoggy approved.

If aspen you buy is to dusty, pour it on a screen and sift the dust off of it.

I just got my hog so I don't wanna act like an expert but I use sand/soil and I love it. The snake has made tunnels all through out the cage and they all seem to connect to each other.

I have all my hogs on Zoo Med aspen bedding. Sani chips work too. Eco Earth is also a good option.

I ended up trying aspen (a different brand), care fresh, and eco earth but she sneezed with all of these. I finally tried zoo med reptibark and she hasn't sneezed on that yet. Although I am not sure I am entirely happy with it cause it gives me some splinters when I clean so it makes me nervous for her but she seems to like burrowing in it.

I've heard coco fiber is really good as well. I kind of wanna use it, I love the look of it.

I like the sand and soil/coco fiber mixture for my adult corn snake. He's a burrower and really makes use of the ability to form tunnels and chambers.

For my by juvenile grey rat snake and corn snake, I'm using shredded newspaper. I just run sheets of newspaper through a paper shredder and it turns into a fairly nice substrate. It doesn't really hold a burrow, but it gives them a lot of cover to move through, which I think makes them feel secure. The one down side is that it's somewhat difficult to find baby snake poop on a grey and black substrate. I may try paper of a different color.
