View Full Version : Moving snakes?

Hey, everyone. We're in a pretty bad apartment, and we have been for nearly two years. We've been begging them to do repairs, but they refuse to and it's uninhabitable. Anyways... We're suing them and we won (won't say how much, but over 100k, not including lawyer fees) and they're going to make us stay in a Hotel until the repairs are done. Should I put each of my snakes in pillow cases or totes? I was originally thinking totes but we won't have the room in our car. How should I transport them? Also can't be visible because I doubt they'll let us stay there with snakes. I can keep them in totes once we're in our room, but not during the car ride. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I'd just stack the totes if you can like this

and then bring the snakes inside either deli-cups or snake bags(pillow cases...etc) then set up the tubs inside the hotel.
EDIT: just saw that the hotel won't allow snakes.... I don't mean to encourage breaking the rules but since you'll have to I'd probably put the snakes(that are already in a bag or deli cup) inside a duffle bag or luggage case.

When i picked up my Black Bloods and male Argentine Boa last spring it was still really cool out. So i put them each in a separate bag and tie them shut really good then just put all three in the same tote on the floor of the car right by the heat. This way it kept them all warm. Being they had already been around each other before getting them i didn't see a problem with them sharing a tote for the car ride.

Ithink there is less stress in bags.
