Very nice! If I ever give any indo species another go, these are on my list. Not skittish at all?

Hi, I`m not sure if you meant the pics are a month old or the monitor, either way do you have any recent photos, and did you take a length and mass measurement on acquisition and have you kept a record? A beautiful little monitor by the way (aren`t they all)!

Thanks for the details. I think the growth rate will increase as the monitor becomes completely acclimated to the enclosure and the appetite increases with the supportive conditions. I would expect a monthly increase of growth between approx 5 to 7+cm (2 to 3+ inches) for the first 12 months or so.

I do hope so ....although I have heard from people who have kept this sp that they are slow growers but I will keep my data logging going and see how things go .... I am very pleased with the progress I have seen

He eats everyday and is always active wen I see him so I can only hope for the best in the future ....

There isn't a lot if info on melinus from what I have found on growth in neonates but I shall keep heating and feeding and see how the growth goes
