View Full Version : My BRB..
I was looking at various Brazilian rainbow boa morphs/phases yesterday which got me thinking, a lot of the Oceli on my BRB are completely black, with most of them showing only a fraction of light coloration.
Could this be a 'partial eclipse' trait as all the BRBs i have seen have more defined Oceli. I am intrigued more than anything, and wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't anything special as i know these snakes have such varying patterns
/colors even amongst the 'normals'
Thanks in advance

How old? & how long?
Thanks, he's 6 years old and last measured at 6ft exactly.

4lx, that is indeed an eclipse pattern morph -- many of them are not "pure" black. Nice example!

Stunning BRB!!!!!!
Thanks everyone, nice to hear from a reputable source :) Will be introducing him to his female companion after the cooling season to see if anything happens, this is my first venture into breeding after keeping snakes for a few years, BRBs are the best looking of all IMO :)

Yes, clearly an Eclipse phase and interesting chocolate color, almost a complete lack of red. Wonder how that would look combined with Hypo or even Anery.
Here's a few more pics, i really like his coloration! @Rainbowsrus, Hypo Eclipse would look pretty cool, personally i think a high orange Eclipse would look amazing!
