My new BCI, Cupcake has backwards scales??? Not all of them are backwards but after petting her back, I felt scales lift... I inspected the ones that lifted thinking perhaps they were damaged scales but they're actually going the other direction??? It's really really weird... How is this even possible?

It looks like a normal scale but you can tell that it's a little higher/pulled up compared to the other scales. I can get more pictures

Since all the scales are diamond shaped you won't really be able it tell what's upside down or not unless you run your hand across her and feel them come up.

In those pictures is her head at the top? Interesting. Not convinced its 'real' unless it stays that.way after a shed (it could be just trauma if ahe scraped her back and tore off the back attachment of the acale....) will be.interesting to see what happens post shed. Is your camera good enough that you could get a side peofile shot?
