Possibly getting a new ball python...help?

Hi every one! I might be buying a ball python.. and while looking online at different ones, i found one with the title 100% het caramel albino male. the website is showing a picture of the snake, but it does not look albino at ALL. I'm not quite sure if this is just a photo they used for the listing of the snake..or if that is what a 100% het caramel albino ball python is. I owned 1 ball python when was alot younger, and have forgotten alot about them. If you guys have ANY advice, from handling, to feeding, to the cage it goes in. It would be a huge help!

Het [Heterozygous] basically means a snake has a hidden trait. So if it's a normal het pied, it will look like a normal, but it does have the Pied gene in it. So if you're buying a Normal 100% (100% means it's FOR SURE het Carmel Albino) Carmel Albino, it has the Normal gene and the Carmel Albino gene, but the Carmel Albino gene is not visible.

What he said. But ill add that het means the mutated gene was passed to the animal from one parent. With recessive morphs the het forms appear normal, with dominate and co dominant morphs the het forms show a visible morph. When the animal has mutated genes from both parents(of the same mutation) this is a homozygous. In recessive this shows the morph(albinos, pieds,etc), in dominant the animal appears the same as the het, and co dominant it is what is referred to as a super(super pastel, blue eye Lucy, super cinnamon,etc). This is just a very brief over view if your interested in learning more hit up google, I'm finding it hard not to use words that I'm sure I'd lose you with.

Well, not on a het recessive atleast. If you want a ball for "just a pet" a normal is exactly the same. But if you're willing to spend the extra money and want a morph pastels, spiders, and other Dom or Co Dom morphs that Have been around for a bit can be had for pretty cheap.
