Think I should take her to the vet? Went from red/fleshy to yellow and black.

I don't have any money until Wednesday, so I'll call and make an appointment for Wednesday

So I'm going to put triple antibiotic ointment on it once in the morning and once before bed until the appointment and hopefully it'll just go away before then... If not, we'll go to the vets.

Edit: just called the vet and they said to do basically what I just said I would .. They said put it on once to twice a day and if I don't see any improvement in one - two weeks time, to get her into the vet. They said that I'd basically be paying $65 for them to telI me to do exactly what I'm already doing if I came into the vet right now.. so they want me to wait 1-2 more weeks.

I would tell them that you have BEEN doing that for AT LEAST a week, and it has not gotten better it has gotten worse. You should be doing a culture and sensitivity test so they can tell you what kind of bacteria and >>>> what kind of antibiotic you should be using. Bacterial infections on snakes can be pretty nasty bugs that wont respond to regular antibiotics.

ALTHOUGH: when my honduran had her skin lesions (i hve a thread posted with pictures), they looked significantly worse immediately before and after her shed. Is your snake due to shed any time soon?

I did tell them and they still suggested that. She was in shed about a month and a half ago when I got her so I doubt she's about to shed anytime soon.

I'm just going to take her in Wednesday regardless of what the vet is saying.

I think it looks normal .. idk I might get jumped for saying that. but the darker color looks like scab tissue the yellow is just from the moisture of the cream youve been using. its not bumped up, raised or full of fluid. I have seen way worse and wouldnt consider that a vet trip especially if the animal is having regular functions

I'm sure it'll be awhile before she sheds again, but I'll post pictures of it when I get back from work :)

The tissue isn't yellow anymore and it's looking better every day.

I'm guessing she is gearing up for a shed, I predict ot will look about the same for a while, then after she sheds it may look better, but more oozy etc. I'd treat it if it looks oozy for a few days post shed with the triple antibiotic cream, and then let it be and let her body do the rest.

Did you figure out what she was rubbing on? In your most recemt pic it looks like there are quite a few lesions, at midline and above her right eye?

She doesn't have anywhere to rub anymore. Her new cage doesn't have any spaces for her to stick her head through
