I was asked a few months ago, by a middle aged woman in a pet shop, whether the frozen mice i was buying, would come back to life once defrosted. :hmm:
of course I told her, that yes, they would :wacky:

is this is a controversial and emotive subject, that genuinely concerns people? or do you think perhaps its just a bit of fun at the expense of someone who didnt pay attention in school ;)

Hey, some animals(albeit no mammals) can do that, if only they weren't euthanized beforehand. Some schools just have really bad teachers!

Well if she buys one thinking it will and flushes it when it stinks her house up , then it died for nothing. But I would have said the same :)
In Japan I was asked if it got cold enouhh that we could not let our dog outside or it would die. I of course said "oh yeah!" But told the guy I was joking after a few more beers. He had also heard the snow was so deep we needed to poke sticks through the snow to find our houses. I had funwith that too. One of the highest educating countries and they had no clue. I have also heard from a friend who works at Pearson airport that he gets asked on occasion where the snow is by travelers bundled up warm in the middle of the summer. Some people just swim in the shallow end of the gene pool.
