View Full Version : Cali King Enclosure?
Okay wouldn't necessarily call it an enclosure. I have a plastic tub that used to be used for ball pythons I believe. There are 15 1/4" holes drilled for ventilation. Dimensions are 23.01x16.75x6.0 (in.) 58.4x42.5x15.2 (cm.) is this too big, too small or a good size or what? it's equivalent to 28 qt. (7 gallons I think..?) Any input for owning one is well appreciated. I read a bit of care sheets so I think I have the basics, but any info is helpful. thanks :)

sounds good on size; if you are getting a baby/juvie snake make sure there is lots of cover/hides for the snake (5+) this will help it feel more secure and should ease the taming process. both of my cali kings have been lunatics for food, and sometimes bite in a feeding response. I have found hook training to be useful, but honestly a cali king can't do too much damage... i just dont like to get bit :P
theyre pretty easy and really cute little snakes :)
Alright thanks! Hides I'll have plenty of :) and I'd take a fiesty eater over a picky eater. ;)
