This is an adult female Gray Banded Blair's "light" phase that just shed. I also have a adult male but he is a dark phase (IMHO the female is the better looking of the two).

Beautiful snake! While the normals are beautiful animals in their own right, I really like to colors that are a bit different from the normals.
I have a female Ghost Honduran Milk snake that I am planning on breeding to a very nice little male I have coming from Don Shores at Shores Enuff Snakes. The male is an Extreme Hypo that is 100% het for anery and albino. I'm new at this, but with the genetic makeup of my female, I'm hoping to get some snows or perhaps even a pearl out of them. Time will tell.
Thanks for sharing your photo of your beautiful snake.

Sounds like you have a plan worked out there Jim! I also have a adult male and female albino tangerine Honduran along with a adult female Anery Honduran that I am going to try and breed this coming spring. The two Albino Hondurans are nice docile snakes but the Anery is a spaz!

That looks like one of those hides with a water dish built in. Does your snake use it? I thought about getting one.

Yes, it is a hide with a water dish built in, I have them in almost all the enclosures and all the Kings and Milks use them. Instead of using the built in water bowl on the hide I use a 12 oz. plastic water bowl. It is a lot easier to replace the plastic bowl instead of sanitizing the entire hide weekly. There are at least two sizes of the hides that I know of.

Great idea! Can I ask where you ordered those and what size for adult kings/milks? Thanks!

I bought them used from the Serpentarium in Lodi California. Used they were 1/3 the cost of new.
The large is plenty big and the smaller size is big enough for Kings and Milks up to 4'+. I prefer how the bowl sits flush in the large hide though, less likely for a snake to knock the water bowl over (the pictured hide is a small one). I did a quick google search and could not find these hides new, I wonder if they are still being sold..................

Thanks! I may have do grab a couple! Both my kings are still in 20g tanks for now.
Quite the difference between the darker male and the lighter female, it would be cool to see some of their babies if you decide to breed them in the future :)

The large size hide may not fit in a 20g..........

Aren't the different phases directly related to locality? I don't think there is such thing as a 'normal' gray banded. Either way, very nice, I like the dark phase myself.

Most likely they are different locality. I have no background information on them. Would be interesting to see what the hatchlings from this pairing would look like.
I also have a 12" hatchling that came from another pair, it is the light color, no idea as to its sex yet.
