I think. ;P I think I've decided on a Western Hoggie. :) I'm now just curious about where to buy one. I don't know of any breeders in south-eastern Wisconsin. So any reliable sites to order one? (for not too much money--average price range for a normal Western??) Or any alternate store anyone knows about! There's a store about 30 minutes away from me that I know is reliable and has some nice reptiles (Captive Bred Specialties) but I'm not sure if they have Hognoses! I'll check it out though.

Thanks~

I bought mine from steve at geckos ect. Average price $125.00-150.00 for a normal.

do you want a baby or are you okay with any size?
I found a 3 year old male (normal) for 50 via local classified adds.
then just over a week ago I picked up a neonate female at a reptile expo for 50 as well, and boy does she have a healthy appetite. They had a few more which now i'm regreting not buying.

I was hopefully looking for a baby but any size will do :) I do think there's actually an expo coming up in November here...I'll look into it :) and I'll look at classifieds...I kinda forgot about that. aha thanks for the advice

If you don't mind coming to Madison there is a great reptile store here called "Reptile Rapture" if they don't have any in stock the guy is great about finding what you're looking for and quickly. They also have a website which I'm sure you can search for. It's actually in Monona but same thing. Also, if that doesn't work out there's another store on the East side of Madison called Animart and I frequently see Hognose there.. Hope this helps.

Thanks! helps a lot actually. :) It's a bit of a drive, maybe 45-60 minutes but not too bad. Just take a Saturday to drive there and hang out, looking around. I'll check it out!

dang. I was looking at their collection and it's making me think I want something else. The first one that I passed that really caught my eye was a licorice albino ratsnake. oh my gosh.

Sounds like you are going to need more inclosures. Haha.

I really do! I have a small house, that's why I was looking at small snakes..I would totally get a BCI or BCC or another python or something. ;P

Well BCC and BCI's aren't that big :p I'd consider them to be medium sized snakes.

bcc can get pretty big. And the occasional bci.
