Ive become obsessed with burms and albino ones especially. ... I been talking with my wife about getting one with my wife and she is sketchy about it. I understand why obviosly, but they just captivate me and I can't stop looking at them. Can any one post some pics of theirs for me and of their cages?
Thanks!!!

Don't quote me on this as I'm still trying to find some in my state(probably should post a thread). But there are dwarf burmese, if there were any in your state before the Lacey act whent into effect then you're good, just have to find who sells them. From what I've read they top out around 8 feet give or take from how you feed them. I've been wanting a female half dwarf for some time now.

i have seen them on kingsnake.com, but i dont believe they were from Ohio.... I looked into them more but couldnt find any... i know at the Cleveland OH expo, there are always burms, so maybe there will be some dwarfs there, if not.... albino male is calling my name :)

I'm with you man, I just got a normal female (I like the normals best) a couple of weeks ago. She is awesome! great feed response, great disposition, and good size too. I haven't had a burm in a number of years and I missed them, my favorite snakes! If you are ready to deal with the size, big snake = big cage, big food, and big craps, you and your wife will really enjoy their sweet nature.

yea, im not 100 percent on the albino... normal phase of everything is my favorite, and albino is my 2nd favorite. (eventually ill get albino balls as well....) my wife is not 100 percent on board, but im going to let her see some videos and stuff like that, so she can really see how they are... sadly, she is one who sees stuff on animal planet, or tv and sides with them "because its on tv" ugh... but shes coming along with the idea! :)

Imo the guy in the the YouTube video does not know his stuff. What does he do at feeding time ?. Surely he is not feeding them in the same enclosure. And if he is it worth the risk of one snake mistaking the other for food and inflicting serious damage on each other. Or what if he is separating them. This may be ok now but I would not like to be trying to move an adult burm who is feeding mode. This is just my opinion based on my personal experience I am no expert and would never claim to be :)

I feed the majority of them out of their cages in tubs (excluding the emerald tree boas and green tree pythons... they have to eat on their perch, & my albino ball python who is so picky)

yea, i seen that video alot, also all of his other cages and all of his other animals. but nothing of recent, I think he cares alot for his snakes, but some stuff i disagree on, .... all i can say is i dont feed my animals outside of the enclosures and never will- so mine will be eating in the cage. (please no arguing about this topic)
as it is, any one want to put pics/vids on here of their enclosures?
my plan will be :
babie- tub and work up just basing it on size?
adult, i will either build a cage, or just buy a built one ( i dont want to have any flaws with a burm) but yea, keep the comments coming :)

There ae Half dwarf albino burms that stay quite a bit smaller but I'm not sure if anyone in your stat has or is breeding them and with the Lacey act you can't get them from out of state.

I have an albino Burm that was a rescue, and he's one of my favorite snakes. He's a complete sweetheart, but has a great feeding response. They are very big and can get extremely heavy- Trogdor is about 14 feet and 120lbs. They are not beginner snakes, or to be taken lightly, but as long as you are safe about it and don't handle or feed the Burm without a second person around, they are wonderful captives. Mine is very popular in my neighborhood- in the summer I take him outside for fresh air and the neighbors' kids want to play with him and pet him. We even have a kiddie pool for him to swim in while outside.

Thank you sir! looks great! the normals are so beautiful, still dont know if i want a normal or albino :/
I understand the size and the weight these snakes come with, and i wouldnt say i am a beginner by any means, whats so ever, and my wife can help with feeding, once he/she gets big enough, or even my mom/dad.... so i have help that i would need.
