So my boyfriend wanted to branch out and get his own snake (we had 2, a ball python and a short-tail python). He wanted to get a BCC and was told that what he ordered was a Suriname red-tail boa. The snake is a hatchling, only about 17 inches long and can fit into the palm of your hand. It's a cute little snake but looks NOTHING like a Suriname. Can you guys help me figure out what kind of boa we actually received? Or is it a Suriname that needs to grow into its color? I have no idea!

The snake is grey with lots of pink undertones. Lots of splotchy blacks and greys, and the tail itself is not red, it's more of a salmony-orangey color, nothing like pics I have seen of Surinames . I have attached some pics as well.

Thanks in advance!

It beats me! It looks nothing like any other boa in the boa identification post! I just don't even know, haha....

Maybe it's a new breed of red tail, you can call it whatever you want. ;)

It looks like a BCA from the pictures. Doesn't look BCC at all...
