I'm getting a new shipment of mice delivered late next week so I decided I would give my Cal King (Hannibal Caesar) and my MBK (Sasha Fierce) both second servings to get rid of the last (4) mice in the freezer. They both ate the first mice quickly but neither of them ate the second. This was the first time Sasha Fierce was offered seconds since she was on pinkys but these were only 2 small fuzzys I gave her last night and she's big enough for hoppers now. That's what's coming for her with the new shipment. It's really unusual for Caesar who eats seconds often. He's on small mice now and will move up to mediums in another month or so. I tried reheating and dangling a few times and they both struck the second mouse but neither of them finished. After leaving them in the vivs for a few hours I finally discarded the leftovers. Has this happened to anyone else? I think I'll stick with single servings for a while. :hmm:

That is weird. Did all the mice come out of same freezer bag? Mine have always eaten doubles. Sasha Fierce is growing fast!

I have a few Sand Boas that will happily, and enthusiastically eat seconds if offered, though I really try to stick to one appropriate sized item. My Adult Grey Banded King will also take seconds, if offered.

Yeah Steve, the mice were from the same bag. It really surprised me when Caesar didn't eat his. He's usually a bottomless pit. Sasha Fierce has always been a picky eater so I wasn't too surprised with her. Guess I'll just chalk it up as one of those things.

I have had that happen a couple of times. So I just left Ammit in her feeding tank and I put a blanket over it and left them alone for a bit. When I come back, the mouse is usually gone .

I usually feed just one prey item too KKG with seconds offered on occasion. Usually Caesar will eat as many as I give him which is why I was so shocked when he refused last night. I guess stranger things have happened.
