Its just a nice light form Mt Isa childreni. She produces some young that are even nicer than her.
Shes gravid atm, you only need to walk past her tank with your tallywacker hanging out and she falls gravid.

These are the smallest form of woma in the country. They are called boodaries from the property they originate from. (Boodarie station). A friend of mine has a catch permit to take reptiles for the pet trade in OZ. he sent me over a bunch of wild caught ones a few years ago and these are some of the prodgyny that i have breed from them.

Yeah some nice ones. Got a few real corkers, need to get some good pics taken of some of my critters. Im hopeless with cameras, thats why most of these pics are older ones that you have probally already seen.

Its a pure blood coastal carpet. Locality pure as well.
I only keep pure blood snakes and pretty much every thing is locality pure as well.
We cant keep exotics in oz, unlike you guys that can keep pretty much anything from around the world.
I envy you guys with the amount of different critters that you can keep.
Hell Id give my left gonad to legally be able to keep the red/orange form of Rough-scaled Bush viper,(atheris squamiger), or some Bush Masters.
One second thoughts id give both gonads to keep them. lol.
Cheers,
Rob.

that hypo coastal is beautiful, will he develop patterns later in life, or stay one color?
trueblue

shaunyboy,-
Yeah i used to keep and breed diamonds, but moved to north qld for a few years a while back and gave them all away to friends as the winters were a bit warm for them where i was moving to. Now that im back in SE QLD i may get back into some.
Only trouble is ive had a closed collection for many years now (as there are a few nasty virisus floating around OZ these days), and im not sure if i want to take the risk of bringing any new animals into my collection.
formica,-
They get a bit of black specking on them,( like the one in the third lot of pics lower lefthand corner), but in another gen or 2 i should be close to producing a patterenless pure coastal carpet that will be from a golden tan to a bright yellow in colour depending of the animal and its parents.
Will have to post some more pics of some of the other snakes i keep in the next few days.
cheers,
Rob.

i hear what your saying mate.....
i would have the same concerns and would most likely only take Diamonds produced from closed collections (a trusted friend, etc), like the collection you have mate
re these days
are the more recent virisus you speak of,from illegal imports or have they sprung up from native wild stock, being introduced into collections ?

What species is the albino in the second batch of pictures? It looks like it could be either scrub or olive python, but I was not aware of albino versions of either of these snakes?
Derek Roddy
10-09-13, 02:24 PM
That's an Albino Olive and they are here in the states as well. Tom Keogan should be producing visible's this year or next.

They have been here for a while now, not sure where the ugly things have come from. Probally a bit of both.?
Willow783,-
As Derek sai, its an olive.
Derek,-
Really!!, well bugger my days. I wonder who sent them over.? There arnt a huge number of people over here even that are breeding them. Good for you guys i spose.
Always seems to happen eventually, if people want something bad enough they will go to the ends of the earth to get it somehow.

Actually come to think of it didnt some get sent over by a zoo to another zoo a while back.? If so i would imagine this is how they will soon be available to you guys.
Awesome animals, and a real pleasure to keep.
I love olives, they are very active pythons compared to the morelia spp.
Much the same as anteresia and aspidities. Always doing something.
I love womas for this reason, they will keep you amused for hours watching their antics.

Does this include the Spotted Python? A few days ago there was a thread on another forum about what sized enclosure to give an adult. People were saying that spotted pythons are shy snakes and don't do much except for hide. They said that small enclosures like 28qt tubs would be fine for them.

Mikoh4792,-
Spotteds would be the least active of the anteresia group for sure.
They would to be the most aboreal of them all.
Childrens and stimmies would be the most active they are much more terrestrial compared to spotteds. I have never kept pygmys so i cant comment on them.

Yeah, they've been here a few years and, they were brought in legally. You can go to the Cities website and see the paperwork. Olives, along with Roughies and Darwins.
