depends what kind of seal you need really, Yacht Varnish and Silicone along the joins is one way which will provide a good seal against all but the most humid/wet conditions, and yep Epoxy will do the trick too, 3M do a ''Fibreglass Resin'' which comes highly recommended on here for high humidity applications and big claws

DO NOT USE SILLICONE FIRST!!! While silicone will seal the joints temporally, it will resist any protectant placed over it and will eventually peel and leave joints exposed. Silicone is only useful if placed over another sealant as it WILL peel off and become useless.
If you use polyester resin as suggested above make sure you have adequate off gas times planned. Many resins will take weeks or months to off gas.
Some other viable options are 2 part garage floor epoxy sealers, or PolyGem's 1618 UV protectant sealer formulated for use in animal enclosures.
Silicone is a mess and a sure fire failure down the road if used underneath any other product.
