Finally got my pair of Black Tail Cribos in. I got two beautiful healthy animals that are pounding food. They came from Black Pearl Reptiles. I apologize about the horrible picture it was the best I can do with my ph cam which sucks.

Very cool...I have been looking at BTCs and at Black Pearl online. I would really like to work with a Drymarchon species and personally, I like the BTC "look" more than the Indigo. :)

sure will. The owner was a pleasure to work with already I'm planning on getting more animals from him.

That's good to know. It looks like he has very nice animals.

Most breeder recommend 6 feet enclosures but I've heard from very reputable source you can get away with a 4 foot cage.

Before I decided to get them from him I had read very positive feedback from him and his animals.

Do you really want to keep a snake which might reach 10 ft in a 4 ft enclosure? In doing so you might not kill it or seriously harm it, but you will degrade it to a minimum of activity.

I don’t have any personal experience with Drymarchon, but I keep other large active Colubrids (Spilotes pullatus / Tiger Ratsnake). When I got my first Spilotes I had to keep him in a smaller enclosure for 3 month until the custom build enclosure was finished. He was active and moving around during that time, but most of the time he was lying on some branches. Since he is in his large enclosure he is moving around for several hours every day (not right after feeding or prior shedding), so in my opinion and personal experience (enclosure) size does matter, at least for large, active Colubrids.

So please consider keeping your snake in an enclosure of at least 6 ft, you might enjoy your snake much more…

No need to worry bud the minimum ill use for them will be vision 632s. I'm still considering get them custom built enclosures because I would like them a little taller.
