Hey everyone! I am currently going to school for 3D modeling for movies and games. I have to build a portfolio/demo reel for the end of my schooling in order to graduate.

Now, for my reel I am doing the Four horses of the Apocalypse that will be placed into a desert scene. Since they only count as 1 asset I need one more besides the horses and the environment so I was thinking...why not model a reptile?!

So I am asking you guys for help...I haven't settled on a certain desert geographically but I'm looking for a species of lizard that dwells in that kind of terrain. The more detail in the skin/scales and colour the better!

Any suggestions are welcome! I'm looking to model, detail and texture this guy to look as real as possible. Hope you can help! Thanks :)

Desert iguana, horned lizards, bearded dragons, collared lizards...

I'd go with collareds...

That collard lizard looks awesome, but I would also suggest one of my favorites, the texas horned lizard.:)
