Hopefully i'm in the right section now, i found this snake in the Kabul region of Afghanistan in the early evening, it was measured at 11 and a half inches in length and approx a quater inch to 3/8's of an inch in width. I would like help on this, so i can educate the people who come into contact with these snakes if it is poisionous or not. From a personal point of view, when removing these snakes from buildings, i would like to know how to handle/catch them and what would be the the best place to release them in. Thanks in advance for your help, cheers Steve. http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/af259/steve1382/bth_snake08-09-134_zps726b70b6.jpg

It looks like some form of colubrid but without a body shot, I'm in the dark beyond that. I'm not even that familiar with the snakes in that area of the world, other than maybe a Diadem ratsnake...but this doesn't quite look like that.

Sorry for some reason I thought you found the snake in The UK, my bad.
Anyway, definitely a type of racer, possibly Platyceps rhodorachis or Platyceps karelini
