We got our Ball python a week ago and we feed it today and noticed a slit on his bottom jaw, noticed it because the fur from the mouse came through the slit, cant really find anything on the internet to help
So please if anyone has info on this or treatment
please let us know!

The slit is normal and allows the snake to expand its lower jaw, but it certainly should not go thru to the interior of its mouth! Your positive you saw fur sticking out of it? If so take to vet immediately!

I think most snakes have the slit. However if you are certain you saw something protrude through the slit, there could be a puncture wound on it.

He'll be fine. Even if he had a puncture wound, just let him handle it and make sure it doesn't look funny. You should be worried if he didn't have the slit.

They aren't "slits" , its basically a stretchy piece of latex. If hes stretching it to swallow, then you could probably see the fur yes. I wouldn't say to take him to the vet even if it was punctured, unless it started to look like it wasn't healing properly or was infected. But I doubt it was punctured anyways.

Okay first off if you saw fur actually protruding then it is a problem.

Secondly no the slit isn't transparent.
