me and my dad started to create an enclosure for his ball python, we took 5 trips to lowes lol we spray painted it with this rocky rough feeling paint that made it look and feel like stone and that is what the bottom picture is. tomorrow, we will spray on the sealer, and add in some shelves and the doors / windows. we are going to make this a large three story enclosure. this ball python loves to move around and explore so that's is why we are making it so big and the python is starting to get crammed inside his 40g tank anyways.

One more picture, this is the whole thing so far with the paint and support added in. Sorry for the bad lighting, it got real dark out haha

Yeah haha will do:p

Big lol this python does sit like a bump on a log like other ball pythons do. so we are pretty much making a small jungle gym for him to explore and climb around. we are also adding a small room off to the side with a sliding door and and plexi glass window for feeding.

Nice, it's great to see people give their BPs more than a barren tub.

great amount of space, not sure I'm with you on the type of material you're using. Make sure to seal the crap out of it. I'd recommend the garage floor type 2 part epoxy (available at Home despot, about $75 a gallon) or Polygems 1618 UV protectant. Also make sure you have a nice substrate dam and drainage.
Good luck

so far today, we sealed it and worked on the flooring. we are almost done adding in the tiles, and we also started to build a feeding enclosure. And like I said, it is big because this python is always on the move and likes to explore.oh and the picture turned sideways on me:/

Create shelves!

exactly what we were gunna do:p we are going to stagger them and put a small plastic tree down the middle. we were even gunna build a bird house lookin hide ( don't worry, it isn't going to be a bird house, just use the basic idea of one) that sits up by a shelf. it is gunna look sooo cool when it is done!

Nice. Can't wait to see it. I need some inspiration for my enclosures when my carpet pythons get bigger.

it will make it easier to clean, rather than having everything stick too the wood

Ah ok so your putting substrate on top of the tile too? Or just leaving it like that? Sorry haha

Sorry for the really low and awful lighting, but here is an update pic! We decided to add a feeding tank to it, don't know why but just did. We have a plexiglas viewing window for it and we started to add a sealant but we are stuck because we don't know what kind to use. Any ideas? We saw some with a gloss finish, flat finish, many types of brands. If anyone knows a good one, let me know lol

Out of sheer curiosity, why the feeding tank? Is it to move the bp from its big tank into the feeding tank for feeding? and then do you move the snake back with a fully belly back to its living side? I'm a little confused about the idea 'tis all.
Other than that, the enclosure itself is looking great. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product!

We are going to have a door between the two so it can just go back when it's ready to, just let it do its thing. We just thought it would be a convenient attachment while we were already at it. But thanks! I appreciate the compliment:)

Anytime! good luck :) And after you explained the feeding tank thing, I think that's actually kinda cool since you can let it go out when it's ready

Yeah, we are going to add branches and stuff, let it climb down and actually hunt for its food. Since we added that cage and made it big, we can do that
