Sounds like you stay busy with those feedings budd. Is that your feeding regiment for your snakes, once every 7 days? Do you feed rats or mice? F/t or live? I feed mine every 6-7 days. I spot clean my (2) tanks as needed and change all substrate once a month. Thanks for sharing.

Love feeding days myself! Yeah, mine's on Sunday; one 5 lb. rabbit and the rest, rats of varying sizes. Hope yours went well! :)

Hannibal Caesar and Sasha Fierce both struck hard and ate fast last night. Sasha Fierce has a tendency to take her time and play with her food before getting down to business. The funniest part to me is watching them after they eat. They go into such a frenzy for more. Last night there were no seconds so they slithered away disappointed after waiting about 5-10 minutes in their feeding bins.

Mine has an awesome feeding response when feeding live. Feeding F/t tho, she just looks at it and grabs onto it,not even a strike haha

Do you mix up your live and f/t feedings drum? MY MBK was fed live at birth by the breeder but transitioned very well to f/t. I have thought about offering them live fuzzys on rare occasions, but I hate to see the prey animals suffer even though I know it's just nature taking it's course. My Cal King has only eaten f/t since birth. Sometimes I think such fierce animals ought to have at least one kill. I'd just hate it if after trying live they refused f/t. If it aint broke I guess I'll leave well enough alone. :)

Yeah, I go back and forth. My mbk was born feeding on f/t but being as curious as I was, I threw in live because I wanted to see the constriction. I vary it because of 2 main reasons. one is because I know that sometimes, the mouse can hurt my snake by scratching at it. The other reason is because I get my mice 2 hours away from where I live, at my dads house so i have to stock up on frozen, that way i dont have to drive 2 hours every weekend to get just 2 mice. Their is this local pet store that I love up their and I know the owner likes me so i get discounts haha.
