Missing one fed is like us missing a snack during the day, shouldnt be any issues at all.

What Rob said, also I always have the best luck at night, since boas are nocturnal.
I feed my nocturnal snakes around 9 pm(cage lights go off at 6 pm) and I will see them roaming their enclosures. As soon as I bring a rat to their cage they go for it. They are a bit slower in the day.

Try a F/T. You can leave that in the enclosure over night. One of my new Boa rescues refused to take the rat, so I left it in the enclosure and she ate it by morning.

That is what I feed her f/t just cos shea looked intimidated thats why I dident want to keep it in there for long ln case I caused eny stress or somthing lol
Sounds like you just have a shy boa, some boas don't like their prey wiggling or people watching them, or even the lights on. Since its a frozen thawed I would put the feeder in at bed time and check back in the am
