So I have a 30 gallon tall aquarium that has been just sitting in my garage and it has years of water spots on it. I've tried vinegar and razor blades, didn't work. I've tried vinegar and soaking it for hours, that didn't work. Do you guys have any recommendations on how to remove really hard water spots? Thanks in advance

Hydrochloric acid but i dont know where you can get that but that will most likely work.

Wouldn't that eat through the silicone sealant? And then into the plastic base that holds it alTogether?

Try bleach, or look on the Internet for some strong cleaners, glass finishers, stain removers...etc

I would try rubbing alcohol, or maybe acetone.

i dont know if its available near you, or if you can legally purchase it haha, but ive found grain alcohol such as everclear takes almost everything off of glass. or really any other alcohol, grain is just the most potent. oh and it disinfects surfaces and dries very quickly. we actually used 95% ethyl solutions (same thing) in bio labs at my college to sterilize equipment and glass.

Try CLR, worked for me.
