Yay! Enzo ate a fuzzy today! So far, I feel like a pretty successful snake parent :) I gave him almost a week to settle in and realized that he actually hadn't eaten in a couple of weeks so I figured today would be the day! He still is a little skittish but it appears he wasn't too nervous to eat!

There's no need to feed outside of his enclosure, just adds more stress.

I was wondering about this--- my boyfriend always fed his BP outside of her cage and it never seemed to bother her but I have also seen others say that it's better to feed in the enclosure... What is everyone's opinion on this? :)

I feed both of my snakes in an uncovered tupperware container inside their enclosures but my MBK always takes her food out of the feeding bin and into her hide. My Cal King eats in his feeding bin and waits for more. As they get larger I'll probably just let them eat in their vivs. I'm a little concerned about them getting cage aggressive so we'll have to see how that goes.

I was wondering about the cage aggressiveness too! Is it recommended to feed in a cup/dish or something? So they associate it with food and perhaps not the whole cage or your hand? Or does it even matter? :) Thanks!

For this week's feed (yesterday), I fed him in his enclosure by just putting the fuzzy mouse on some paper towels and he took it pretty quickly :) yay! I think this will work better because he seems much more comfortable in his enclosure.

Its such a relief when they first eat... like overcoming a hurdle. Congrats! :)
