Cool! You do know that King Cobras can get up to 16 feet long? They are the biggest venomous snakes in the world.

I heard the record was 18 ft. Of course, who knows....that's like saying retics and burms get over 25 ft (as Miller has repeatedly rebutted).

I have "met" one that is around the 11-13ft mark - i wasnt gonna measure it :p

The only ones I have seen were at the SD zoo. those were about 10ft

I'd probably say it's plausible. It's not like cobras are widely kept and bred in the public eye.

As Chuck said they are the largest venomous in the world and I believe I heard average is 14 - 16.

Black mamba I believe is close behind in the 12 14 foot range but that's off memory and I haven't looked into them in a long time.

i think that is because nobody wants to deal with a huge intelligent snake that has every ability to kill them

The one I saw at Reptilia Reptile zoo in Vaughan, ON is 14 feet long. He is the largest venomous snake at any zoo in Canada.
