So our lavender female layed eggs, 2 months ago, and they are already piping etc, but now she is behaving like she did before when she was gravid.

pushing us away, not eating, rattling tail, storming around, smashing everything there move.

She ate 5 rats or more, after she layed her eggs, but is this a big problem if she stored spearm and is now making eggs again?.

Have you had this before please tell, the male haven't been with her for over 2 months. :hmm:

I do believe kingsnakes can double clutch without the introduction of a male again.

I don't think you should worry.

You may get a smaller number of eggs or even slugs. Snakes will breed but they won't breed themselves to death. They know their body limits and won't produce more than it can handle. They aren't going to kill themselves for a couple of eggs because they know if they survive they can do it again.

kings can double clutch every season, and produce healthy clutches both times. I don't know how quickly after laying they can become gravid again though
