i think it looks like someone was playing with perspective for the photo... it was probably a sizeable animal, but probably nothing unusually large.

I don't see why not. It does look like they played with the depth of the photo a bit, but if you know about lolong, this size isn't out of the question.

It real they showed how it was caught. This is how they had to move it thought the jungle because there were no roads. It was on Animal Planet.
