Is anyone keeping them?
I saw one for sale but have not been able to find much info on them.
Any suggestions or thoughts.
Thanks

I've never heard of a diced water snake. Do you have a scientific name by chance?

I Had 3 of russian dice water snake in a pet store where I'm working. They were very great feeder (gold fish, platy, guppy). They were cute with a very nice orange or yellow belly. When we take them they "hiss". But I never be bit by this snake. Keep them on newspaper or on aspen bedding; they musk very well and like all the water snake, the poops smell very bad.... The latin name is natrix tesselata.
Good luck :)

I've seen N. tesselata only once, at the first Toronto show I attended back in '95 or '96. I don't know who the vendor was, but I do recall that the snakes were just little juveniles.
I find it very interesting that the European colubrids do not seem to enjoy much popularity in Canada.

I did a search for Natrix Tesselata and only only cane up with about 2 english sites. All the rest are in either Italian, German or others.
Wish I could find some good info about them:confused:
Can you tell me what Italian pages you have found?
I can help with translation there if needed :))
Ciao
