Fielding Herping... just in the house. Left a window open today a crack and found this little guy as we were closing the window around 9:30. Snapped some pictures before happily returning him outside. He even played dead.

He did do a very convincing 'play dead' before rolling himself back over. Its a pity we didn't get any clear shots of him licking his eye after wards.

we get those all the time, they are hundreds on the outside of my house at sunset. We call them "house geckos". We get anoles and salamanders too.

We get a few different types of house geckos here. The 3 most common are these, we call them stoney geckos, the yellow bellied geckos and the spotted ones that i swear are mixed with tokays...
