New pictures of Serenity - Thai Bamboo Rat

Here are some new pictures of Serenity from just a few minutes ago. She's getting huge! It's interesting how her cross bars on her neck have faded almost completely.

And yes, I'm wearing sissy gloves, because she can be a whirlwind biting diva and I've found rubber gloves to help a lot in keeping high strung snakes calm.

That is a beautiful snake. Is she captive bred? (Sorry if this was mentioned somewhere.)

Thanks! Yes, she is CB, I got first pick of the breeder's first clutch of them, after she had picked her own keepers. And the other female I just got is this one's sister from that same clutch. They are a few days over a year old, and the male is about a year and six months old, also CB but from a different breeder.

We had the macro lens on the camera last night and it's near impossible to get full body shots of anything over 10 inches or so with it. I will probably try to get some at some point but she just ate right after those, so it will be awhile.

Just double check the sex of the snake, as you never want to put two males together with this species.
