I have a male red tail boa and the people I got him from the living conditions were not the greatest.... But anyways he is not wanting to eat no matter how much I dangle the rat I'm front of him. He also has a respitory infection any Ideas as to why he don't wanna eat

Probably because he has a respiratory infection....... Get him to the vet stat because it can kill him.

He doesn't want to eat because he's sick. Get the R.I. under control first then try feeding. What are your temp and humidity?

Also is it a bci or a bcc?

I was just about to ask that.

After the snakey gets meds a week with temps a little higher than usual will help him fight off the infection even more.

The guy I got him from the living conditions were awful and he was feeding him rabbits. The reason why he won't eat rats also is because is he gotten used to rabbits?

Bcc are a little more unforgiving in errors so thats good.

Your temps are way too low. Also there is nothing wrong with feeding rabbits.

How do you measure your temps and humidity how do you control them?

You have 5 post, now you can post pics of the boa and his enclosure.
