hi there, I'm kyh from Taiwan. I haven't been part of a forum in a very long time!
I keep 1 female subadult ball python, 1 juvenile savannah monitor, 2 adult/subadult redfoot tortoises, 2 dogs and some fish. I've taken care/switched hands, bought, caught, and rescued a variety of different types of animals in my life.
I'm also an avid photographer, I love taking photos of wildlife and my own animals. Apparently I'm not allowed to post any links/photos in my first few posts? That's a shame, I don't have much content without pictures.
nice to meet all of you! :)

Hi kyh. I'm just wondering, what are the reptile laws in Taiwan? Are you allowed to own venemous snakes? Anacondas? Also is there a big reptile community there?

Regarding the laws, I am not too sure myself. I moved here from Canada, I'm not a native speaker of chinese. A friend who is, though, told me that once he brought his large boa outside once, and someone called the police and they confiscated it. I am not sure if he was telling the truth...
Venomous snakes? Taiwan's too safe for that, haha. Well you won't really see any imported venomous snakes, but the native venomous species you will see on the market from time to time. There are a lot of venomous snakes native here.
Also, I've seen a few instances of anacondas on the market.
and YES there are a LOT of reptile keepers here, pro and casual alike!

wow sounds fun.
I want to travel internationally for reptile expos. I've seen videos of expos in japan and the animals they show there are sick.
