Stupid question since I'm not well rounded in the amphib department. Are Waxy monkeys a bit more tolerable toward handling considering the difference in their skin? (I hope thats a waxy monkey)

Haha ,yes this is a GIANT waxy monkey tree frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor). And not that I am aware of. They're skin is just as absorbent as any other frog so our oils will still harm them.
Though they are easy to handle. They a SUPER slow lol. The sloths of the frog world lol. But they can move fast if they want it seems. Phyllomedusa bicolor's are usually always WC so they do stress easy which would be another reason not to handle to often.

I am also hoping to get the ones I was originally after, waxy monkey tree frog (Phyllomedusa sauvagii)

Fed the bicolor his first fuzzy today and took some pics as he seemed pretty active after taking it down and he was posing for the cam.
