Nice snakes!

For some reason the face of the carpet python in the pic above reminds me of a Lamborghini. Dat heat pit.

Thanks all . Yea he is almost sixteen yrs , I have had him since he was two months old .
I always put him on the ladder first , then he comes down and rests on the ground until I bring him in at the end of the day . When he was younger , he would have never stayed put like that , I guess its his age .
Its another real hot day , and his out there soaking up the heat .;)

Good for you tracy- it makes me happy to see people showing off their snakes of 10+ years. We need more of that so newcomers understand that these snakes do not magically disappear or post themselves on craigslist after 3 years. Do you happen to have a growth chart? I am curious as to how your snake has grown after it had reached maturity?

Thanks Franks , and its true they are a long term commitment , and quite right in what you say !!!
As I`am sure you know , snakes grow real fast when they are young , and he was 2 ft long when I bought him . After that he basically grew a foot a year . So when he was 8 yrs , he was around 7 ft . from that time to now at almost 16 , he has grown another 2 ft . :)

Yea its true , he seems real relaxed . I mean , I keep my eye on him , I would never just leave him . Once he has warmed up on top of the ladder , he just slides down , and choses a shady part of the garden . :)

Thanks Terranaut .:) Don't know if you noticed the feature of the garden or not , it is the new tortoise enclosure . I have a thread on the tortoise section called , New Tortoise enclosure . The thing is , we finished it 2 weeks ago and have decided to go for a green house , which I am waiting for .(Need to up date more pics , as it has been changed a little).
I thought I could keep my CP in the GH during the day in the summer months . could anyone give me an opinion on that .

Just a random thought but you could grow plants in the greenhouse that you tort eats. Maybe that's what you're doing but its just a though =]

I didn't know coastals got THAT big. He's huge.

Do you just carry him inside? Or do you make him just slither inside if he's heavy?
