My neighbors daughter found a snake and she is trying to keep it as a pet but she doesn't know what to feed it. I will attach a photo I took to help the little girl out. She has a heat lamp and tank for it.
Maybe if anyone knows what kind it is I can tell her what it eats ect to give her more info on it.
Thanks soo much

Dekay brown snake, they eat worms, snails and slugs.
Do not use heat with this species, they are a cool climate snake, they hide in damp shady areas during the day and usually come out early in the morning when the grass is still damp from the dew, or in the early dusk hours. They avoid the afternoon sun.
I have pictures of one crawling on snow.
If it will eat, they are a pleasure to keep.

Small insects, too. May need to see things moving to go for them. Probably needs to think it's alone to eat, too; my rough green snake won't eat with me watching.
