So, I had my "black blood" girl 'Kita out for some enclosure maintenance and snapped some shots. Fresh shed too. :D I know you guys always love pictures. She's weighing in at just under 2lbs now. She stayed in the exact same position on the carpet for the entire cleaning... laziest. snake. ever.

Thanks guys! I love her dark coloration as well! I've only seen a few as dark as her. @smy- Sorry, should've included something in the pic for reference. She's a little over 2 1/2 feet long and about 13 inches in diameter at the thickest part. I'm not sure on her age. I could be way off, but my best estimate is roughly a year and some change based on average growth rates I've read about from other owners. That, of course, is faulty due to under/overfeeding possibilities. Previous owner was not sure unfortunately.

Haha, no future plans for a boyfriend. I hadn't ever planned on breeding any of my snakes. Although, she's so dark, I'm thinking I wouldn't mind finding a really dark male to pair her up with. My personal preference on these guys is the darker, the more stunning they are. Don't know what the market would be for them lol, but I admit some babes would be cool. :crazy2:

Haha, a mathematician I am not. Yes, meant circumference. Always get those mixed up for some reason. She is, in fact, about as big around as a slightly muscular guy's bicep. I know these guys can become obese due to their slow metabolism, so I am careful about how and when I feed her.

The market for Blacks is really booming. Your girl much dark than my Chrome Heads. Every time i post pictures of them i get a ton of people asking when i am going to have babies and what i would sell them for. You wouldn't have Snyder trouble selling them.

I'm glad you guys like all like her! Chuck, short dark and thick is just perfect lol. I didn't know there was a demand for them as such. I bet you're right and I wouldn't have any problems finding new homes for babes. :D Her temperament is pretty mellow too. Haven't gotten a tag from her yet and one little hiss when I didn't realize she was in blue... guess I deserved that one. Well, since you guys practically begged... I got some shots of her today during her swim/exercise time lol. The urates in there felt loosened up after bath time and she was making some interesting flatulent noises so we may end up with a poo soon. :laugh: Thanks for looking guys. Enjoy.

Good to hear she working it lose. Looking at this picture you can tell that she getting backed up. Got my fingers across that it won't be long and she'll poop for you. BTW she looking stunning.
