It's a lot cheaper to get one of these from Canadian Tire than to buy one from the pet store, but if you guys don't think it would be okay I'll get the one from the pet store.
(P.S. It will be on a rheostat)

You should also check that it has a porcelin socket... I used to use those when i had beardies and i got one from canadian tire with a plastic base and used a 120 watt bulb and it melted the plastic and nearly took fire.
canadian tire ones are only rated to i think 75 watts.the home hardware ones are much better and have a wire protector, which would have saved me my damage deposit this past week.

Ya they are 75. I use those a lot, and just dont use anything higher than 75 halogen spots. I also sometimes drill holes in them for air flow. The wires are just held by 2 rivets and evetually just break. If you can get porcelain, much safer, and cheaper in the long run.

Wal mart had them on sale for $5.97 and are 100watt, so I had to grab a few. They are usually $10 bucks
