So I was driving my taxi (livery) this morning to the hospital, and on the way I saw a turtle making his way across a busy street, he had just started. (I think it was a red eared slider but I'm not expert on turtles.... Anways, Here is the photo of him: https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc1/1044880_147900842068014_715721040_n.jpg

The nice old man in the cab told me to go for it, so I went and grabbed him. Hes now in a 10 gallon aquarium in my home....

Just kidding. I put him on the other side of the road and he continued on his little journey. https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/1044880_147900838734681_1973525022_n.jpg

The end.

GOOD FOR YOU!

The shell isn't that of a red-ear, but I'm not a turtle expert either, so I can't identify what it IS.

Doesn't really matter though. What matters is that you took time out of your busy day to save a life. I'm saying "Thank you!" for the turtle.

painted turtle

That was my second guess, though I don't know the difference. The pics make her look small, but I'd say she had a good 6-7 inch shell length
