My Corn Won't Eat?!

So I got a new baby Black Motley Corn last week and its been two weeks since he's eaten last. His name is Cornflakes and I'm afraid if he doesn't eat he might get sick and die :/ please help! I didn't know where to post this either so sorry if its in the wrong section, I'm new here! I have plenty other snakes and they've never had issues eating before.

Give him a week or two to settle in before you try feeding him again. A new home can be quite stressful to snakes. And trust me, 2 weeks isn't a long time for him to not eat lol.

Can you let us know your setup temps/humidity etc etc are yuo feeding in its enclosure?

It may just need to settle more before it feels comfortable.

How often do you handle him and are you sure he was feeding before you got him?

Make sure your husbandry is ok. Check your temps and makes sure it has lots of places to hide and three of your walls are covered to make it feel secure.

Don't handle it for 4 or 5 days to let it become comfortable and then try and feed it.

And just keep trying every week or so... some snakes are just feisty eaters.

Yes he was eating before I bought him, I went to BHB and seen him. His temps are 87f on warm and 79f on cool. He's currently in a 10 gallon, a suggestion from BHB would to put him in a critter cage inside the 10 gallon to make him more relaxed in a smaller enclosure. And I try feeding him in his enclosure if that doesn't work I move him to a small container and leave him with it in there for a little. And I don't handle besides every couple of days I lift his log to make sure he's still alive. This last feeding I brained it though but there was no blood (it was from a to go pack of pinkies) so next time ill use my other pinkies cause they have blood in them? And what should I scent with? Some people say you could rub a bird feather on it to make it smell like bird.

I think I might try a live pinkie for the next feeding but I don't know where I could get a live pinkie. I have plenty of pet stores near me (PetSmart, Petco- don't really shop at those places though- and Pet Supplies Plus) and Pet Supplies might have live but not sure I guess I'd have to check, right?

The size of the enclosure is irrelevant if you have plenty of cover, my hatchling corns went straight into three foot vivariums.

Personally i would leave the mouse (dead not alive) in the enclosure with the snake overnight, whilst it is dark and auiet he may be more likely to eat. Definitely zero interaction bar spot cleaning and filling water bowl until he eats.

Your temps seem fine by the way :) always a good thing to check tho.

Thanks! I tried feeding last night that didn't work so Ill do that next time I feed. Could it be the light that's bothering him? He has a red 75w night light on him? Just want to make sure everything is comfy for him.

Well I hate that the picture came in upside down haha. Anyways he hides under the Tank hide normally, I don't see him move around ever and he's normally always in there.

I think the problem is that he's upside down. Zero gravity is tough on snakes.
