I just want to know, do you guys like LLLReptile? I've heard a lot of great reviews, but I'm not sure I like LLLReptile a whole lot.
I ordered a juvi corn snake from them, and it shipped on time, but there were issues. He was very thin when i got him. He was a bit aggressive, but that didn't worry me too much. I kinda expected a little aggression. But, the next day, I went to check on him, and there was a weird clear goo substance in his cage. I cleaned it up, and just four days later, he died!! I contacted LLLReptile about the issue several times, and they never would reply. So I was stuck with a dead snake and a wasted 150 bucks.
Was this just a one-time freak mistake, or does this happen often? I don't think I'll be buying from them anymore.

I think this is a hate spam and nothing more. Not the right reason to join.

I agree. Besides you can do a lot to a snake in 4 days that could cause it to die. Especially someone who is obviously inexperienced.

Tell us all the details about how you housed the snake, will help us advise where the fault (if any, some animals arent meant to live) lies.

Wouldn't the husbandry have to be like, TERRIBLE to kill a corn snake in 4 days Unless housing it in a freezer, I don't see how the OP could have killed a corn in 4 days. That being said, I never ordered from LLL Reptiles so I can't comment on that.

Do you happen to have any pics of the corn? Like what it looked like when you first got it and over the next few days?

I would be interested in know what this "weird clear goo substance" is, did it come from the snake or did something toxic/poisonous accidently get in the enclosure ?

I bought a ball python from them, I was young but he was star gazing what not, and died after 2 days. Luckily I didn't have any other snakes at the time.

If you think it was IBD then wouldn't they have to get a whole new collection?

I got a Diamond x jungle Carpet from them three years ago and have never had a issue with it. But i have heard some really bad and good review on them. To kill a corn snake in four days you would have to be trying to kill it. My guess is it had issues before you got it or something happen during shipping.

I had a customer kill a corn within three hours once.

Idk. They have more than one facility , and most of the stuff comes from other places. I'm sure they deal with that kind of thing pretty frequently, havig that many animals in and out of their shop.

You better not have given them a refund.

I've ordered from lll a couple times. I actually got my IJ from them that I currently have. No issues. The only animal I've had an issue with was a Jungle Carpet Python I ordered from them a few years back. It came with an RI but it was during the winter during heavy snow so maybe it was during shipping that it got sick. After a few days the RI went away.

How could they try at that point. It was their fault it died.

They lived an hour and twenty minutes away. They called when they got home and said the snake was dead. I asked when they got home and they said they just walked through the door. It was four hours later. They just knew that I had sold them a sick snake and it had nothing to do with them leaving it in the car while they ate lunch.
