I read the first post and didn't see anything amazing other than your photography skills, and I didn't want to be rude and ask if that little bird with something in his mouth was the amazing part. But yes, that is an amazing crane or w.e it is. :P awesome pics.

Thanks guys, and yeah I wanted to leave the surprise to the end. I stalked him for about an hour, watched him eat 3 fish and as you can see he started letting me get closer and closer before I took all 400 of my pictures and had to leave haha.

Blue Heron!!! They are the most graceful birds.

Nice pics! looks like a nice place to visit from time to time. At first I thought 'oh, just a 'blauwe reiger' (what blue herons are called in Dutch), but it seems your herons get quite a bit larger than the ones here in the Netherlands! Here they are almost common city birds but still very nice to see :).
