Just a quick update on my Everglade Rat Snake. A few months ago I bought this tiny snake at a bargain basement price at a local reptile show. He looked like this:

Due to his healthy appetite and healthy attitude we named him "Striker". Getting tagged 3-5 times while getting him out of the enclosure wasn't uncommon. He has definitely changed color, turning a bright orange. (see below) He has also grown, oddly more in length than anything else, and his mood has mellowed out somewhat, but he still puts up a nice defensive display, and has just stopped striking the camera when taking pictures.
Overall, a very uncomplicated and easy snake to keep. Drop the F/T on top of his hide and he'll take it within 30 minutes.
Just thought that some here might appreciate to see the difference in color. In the first picture you can see his future color in his eyes. ;)
