Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions for creating and mounting arboreal hides? I'd like to give my CP some options for hides and not just on the ground, especially in the next cage with a more vertical temp gradient. (although he may be mature/big enough that he does'nt need a hide anymore at that point). I'm thinking along the lines of gourds, hollow log sections, etc. I could possibly split them and put hinges on them. I might just use a bird house; that could be good for a laugh or two.

You can install a shelf inside the enclosure if you use PVC..

You could get sugar glider or bird nest boxes. They come in a variety of sizes. Or just take a look at them to get ideas for your own. Another cheap and easy hide could be made from a PVC catch basin.

Take a cat litter box and cut a hole in one side. Use 2 pieces of chanel mounted to the ceiling of the enclosure to slide the box into. Like a drawer with a hole in the front. Put in a bit of substrate and your done.
