Beautiful snake (: and maybe he wanted the BCI because he wanted to see a baby (very young baby) grow up. I chose Magenta over a 1 year old BCC for that reason.

I hate to burst your bubble but that's a normal. A constipated normal at that. It has an awful lot of black on it. Also there is no such thing as 75% het.

I see you're from Bayside. I was born in Flushing. Is there a big reptile community in that part of Queens? And Expos near there too?

Now that's funny right there. I bet I have a much better understanding than you do when it comes to boas.

So does this one and it's a hypo. There are certainly dirty hypos out there, I've seen plenty. The hypo gene creates a reduction of black pigment and in some cases (often from selective breeding) a total lack of black. Because it causes a reduction in black that puts it into relative terms which makes going by the speckling alone an unreliable way to ID the morph. This boa could have been the dirtiest looking common you've ever seen before the hypo gene came in and cleaned it up some. Unfortunately we'll never know! All that being said I would be very surprised to find out his not a hypo. Hopefully JPC did produce it and can clear up the confusion.
Korbin are there other traits (or lack of) besides the speckling that lead you to believe its not hypo?

That's a much better picture and yes it is a hypo.

@ddub

I was looking at the lateral lines along the top of the sides. they all look black. It also looked like the saddles had a lot of black out lining them. It could be my phone but the pics show a lot of black until that recent one.
